20 vehicles in the database

Vehicles in Star Wars Galaxies cover everything a player can summon and ride — the civilian X-34 every newcomer buys off the Mos Eisley vendor, the bantha a Creature Handler tames in the Tatooine wastes, the Imperial AT-ST stomping through occupied cities, and the high-end starships a master Shipwright assembles for the space game. Every category answers a different player question: how fast do I want to go, how many people am I bringing, am I making a faction statement, and how far am I willing to go to earn the silhouette.

SWGDB groups vehicles into six categories: speeders, swoops, jetpacks, walkers, creature mounts, and starships. Each record below names its speed, passenger count, terrain, and how to obtain it.

Categories at a glance

  • Speeders

Low-altitude ground vehicles — the civilian backbone. Two-seat designs like the X-34 and AV-21 dominate, with the military BARC at the top of the tier.

  • Swoops

High-speed single-occupant racers. Faster than any speeder, no passenger seat, and the centerpiece of player racing tournaments on Tatooine and Lok.

  • Jetpacks

Air-mobility personal units. Extremely rare in NGE — the Mitrinomon Z-6 Jetpack is the canonical "you finished the game" trophy.

  • Walkers

Bipedal faction-restricted machines. The Rebel AT-RT and the Imperial AT-ST are the two player-pilotable members of this category.

  • Creature Mounts

Living mounts tamed by Creature Handlers. Banthas and dewbacks on Tatooine; kaadu and falumpaset on Naboo; rancor on Dathomir as the apex tame.

  • Starships

    Space-zone vehicles. Faction-locked starfighters (TIE, X-Wing), neutral starters (Z-95), and multi-crew freighters (YT-1300, Decimator).
