YT-2400 Light Freighter

The YT-2400 is the Corellian Engineering Corporation light freighter most famously flown by Dash Rendar as the Outrider in Shadows of the Empire. In SWG, the ship deed drops from the final mission of the Champion of Mustafar quest arc and is one of the most coveted multi-crew player starships outside the YT-1300 line.

Role in the galaxy

The YT-2400 sits alongside the YT-1300 as the canonical multi-passenger player freighter, but with a noticeably more aggressive silhouette and stat profile. It carries two player-controlled turrets and two cockpit seats — pilot, co-pilot, and two gunners — making it a four-station ship designed to be flown by a group rather than soloed. Restoration treats it as a top-tier flyable: faction is irrelevant, so Imperial and Rebel pilots can both own and fly the ship.

How to obtain

The deed drops in the final mission of Champion of Mustafar — the Trials of Obi-Wan flagship arc — and is one of the most reliable late-game ship sources in the game. The deed is lootable by only one player per run, but the final fight is repeatable, so an entire group can eventually each loot one. Guilds typically run the arc on a rotation so each member walks away with both the YT-2400 deed and the Jedi Master Cloak that drops alongside it.

Crafting and certification

The ship is built by a master Shipwright from the quest-rewarded deed schematic; component slots accept the standard pilot career parts, so a YT-2400 can be tuned for cargo, combat, or hybrid duty. The hull is certified for the Master Pilot box across all space professions, so a pilot does not need to align with Rebel, Imperial, or Freelance specifically to fly it.

Trivia

The Outrider association puts the YT-2400 firmly in the Expanded Universe lineage of Corellian freighters that share design DNA with the YT-1300. In-game, picking between the two ships is generally a question of cockpit aesthetic and turret arc preference — both are top-tier social-PvE workhorses, but the YT-2400’s more aggressive saucer silhouette makes it the more popular pick for combat-oriented player crews.
