The Z-95 Headhunter is the joint Incom/Subpro starfighter — the design lineage that directly led to the X-Wing, and the canonical starter ship for any pilot in Star Wars Galaxies.

Role in the galaxy

The Z-95 is faction-neutral. Players choosing the Freelance / neutral pilot path fly it as their primary ship, and Rebel and Imperial pilots typically begin in the Z-95 before transitioning to their faction’s dedicated starfighter (X-Wing or TIE Fighter).

How to obtain

The starter Z-95 is awarded through the pilot certification quest chain regardless of faction. Upgrades and replacement chassis are crafted by a Shipwright from widely available schematics.
