Heroic Instances

Heroic instances are SWG-Restoration's high-end group content. 8-player raids with named bosses, unique loot, and lockout timers. Each entry below covers the fight, group composition, strategy, and rewards — sourced from the Restoration wiki, SWG Fandom, and community guides. Cite-conservative; verify exact mechanics in-game.

What is a heroic in SWG?

Heroics are level-90 group instances added in Chapter 7 and expanded through later updates. They live conceptually adjacent to themeparks (linear story chains) and hero quests (gating iconic rewards) but differ in three ways:

  • Group-only. Designed for eight CL90 characters; soloing is not viable.
  • Lockout timers. Most are gated by a one-hour or two-hour lockout per character per completion.
  • Heroic tokens. Per-clear rewards spent at Aurilia heroic vendors for end-game gear unavailable elsewhere.

Most groups farm heroics on a weekly cycle, completing three or four instances per session and stockpiling tokens across them.

Sourcing

Heroic guides are cite-conservative: each entry references Restoration's wiki (swgr.org/wiki), the SWG Fandom (swg.fandom.com), and community guides. Where exact mechanics differ across patches, we describe general principles and flag the variance rather than invent specifics. See the full quest index for themeparks and hero quests.

Coming: combat-log analysis

Restoration's /logCombat on command writes a parseable chat log of every combat event. SWGDB is building a parse-upload tool to give heroic runs Warcraft-Logs-style rankings: per-player DPS, ability uptime, and group-wide performance. Track progress on the About page.
