Axkva Min

Heroic Lvl 90+
Axkva Min — placeholder image

Axkva Min is one of the four original Chapter 7 heroic instances and is based deep below the Nightsister Stronghold on Dathomir. The encounter replaces the pre-Chapter-7 open-world spawn, which only appeared once per server reset, with a repeatable instance gated by the longest pre-quest of any SWG heroic at the time.

The fight

The fight takes place at the bottom of the Rancor Cave just outside the Nightsister Stronghold on Dathomir. Entry is faction-neutral — any character at combat level 90 who has completed the pre-quest can run it. Restoration’s recommended group size is eight, and the instance carries a one-hour lockout from the moment the group loads in. A clean clear runs roughly 45–75 minutes depending on composition. Stepping into the chamber starts the timer.

How to start

The encounter requires the Nightsister Headdress pre-quest, which ultimately rewards the Nightsister Key of Exile. Once keyed, run or fight your way to the bottom of the Rancor Cave just outside the Nightsister Stronghold POI.

Group composition

The standard Restoration comp is built around saber-tank survivability:

  • 1–2 tanks: Jedi (light- or dark-side) trade taunts on the bosses; a Pikeman with kinetic-leaning gear can fill in.
  • 2 healers: Medic or Combat Medic, positioned center so they cover both flanks during the Suin Chalo elemental rotation.
  • 3–5 DPS: a mixed roster works best — Rifleman, Pistoleer, Carbineer, Commando, and Bounty Hunter all stack different debuffs that compound damage on the bosses.
  • Buff support: an EntertainerDancer or Musician — should pre-buff the group outside the instance. All damage inside is kinetic, so skip energy resistance and reallocate those five buff points to action regen or kinetic mitigation.

Fandom emphasizes varying professions so debuffs stack across players; duplicating professions narrows the effective debuff stack.

Strategy

The instance runs five named phases:

  1. Nandina and Gorvo — a Nightsister and her rancor. Pull Gorvo to a flank wall while DPS focuses Nandina; the rancor cleaves and must not face the healers.
  2. Lelli Hi — a cloaking witch. She drops in and out of stealth; mark her with a damage-over-time effect on every cycle so the group can re-find her quickly.
  3. Kimaru — fire-summoning witch. Stay spread to limit area-of-effect overlap; the Medic line should pre-stack heal-over-time effects before each pull.
  4. Suin Chalo and minions — Suin rotates elemental resistance; minions must die before DPS swaps to her, or her damage reduction wastes the burn window.
  5. Axkva Min — the boss traps players in Banishment Crystals that deal damage while the player is locked. Free trapped players quickly; the Pikeman or Bounty Hunter is usually fastest with single-target burst on the crystal.

The critical positioning rule from Fandom: during Phases 1–4 do NOT return to the entry tunnel during combat. The Eternal Warden guards the tunnel and will incapacitate any player who enters during combat, re-incapping them as soon as they stand back up — effectively a kill. Players who die can clone and re-enter, but only between phase transitions. Exact mechanic timings vary by patch; verify in-game.

Rewards

A clean clear awards every player +1 Combat Defense Parry (stacking to +10) plus an Axkva Min Token of Heroism used at the Aurilia heroic vendor. The boss’s rotating loot table includes the Juyo Saberstaff Schematic, the Nightsister Carnage Beret Schematic, the Nightsister Energy Lance Schematic, several Combatant’s Rings, and the Nightsister Headdress cosmetic. Décor items like the Axkva Min Claw Lamp round out the table.
