Pikeman — placeholder image

Pikeman is the polearm-focused Elite Brawler profession. Where Swordsman and Fencer go all-in on raw damage, Pikeman trades offensive ceiling for control — sweeping multiple enemies, slowing them, and tanking the counter-attack.

Role

The class is built around opponent control. Strong defensive mods — especially Melee Defense, Polearm Defense, and Ranged Defense — let a Pikeman wade into a group and stay standing. Cone attacks like Spin Attack and Sweep Attack hit everything in melee range, and Stunning Blow halts ability regeneration on the toughest target in the pile. Offensive output is rated weak; crowd control and survivability are rated strong.

Skill tree highlights

  • Sweep Attack and Improved/Advanced Sweep — knock down multiple targets
  • Spin Attack — area melee damage in a 360 cone
  • Leg Hit (Improved) — targeted strike with a small accuracy penalty
  • Impale — high single-target damage at the top of the offense tree
  • Stunning Blow — interrupts an opponent’s specials

Mastery costs 106 skill points (73 toward Brawler prereqs) and roughly 4.9 million polearm XP plus 91,650 two-handed XP and 405,000 combat XP.

Best trained at

Pikeman trainers are scarce — only five known across the galaxy. Tatooine players head to Mos Espa; Talus runs use Dearic; Corellia has one in Kor Vella; Naboo’s is in Theed; Rori’s is in Narmle. Pair with TKA, Fencer, or Swordsman for a full melee template.
