The Avatar Platform is the Mustafar heroic instance staged above the planet’s lava fields. It extends the Trials of Obi-Wan expansion content beyond the Champion of Mustafar epic arc into group-instance territory, anchored at a research platform overrun by end-game threats.

The fight

The fight takes place at the Avatar Platform research facility on Mustafar. Required combat level is 90, faction is irrelevant, and Restoration’s recommended group size is eight. Group composition

Mustafar’s heat-themed environmental design influences buff priorities more than composition:

• 1–2 tanks: Jedi or Pikeman handles named bosses; the platform’s positioning rewards a mobile second tank.
• 2 healers: Medic and Combat Medic keep the group through sustained mob waves; the platform’s elevated geometry means line-of-sight matters.
• 3–5 DPS: a mixed roster — Rifleman, Pistoleer, Carbineer, Commando, Bounty Hunter — works. Commando area-of-effect shortens trash phases.
