Aluminum is the base class of the Non-Ferrous Metal tree, paired opposite Copper in SWG’s metal taxonomy. Where Ferrous Metals emphasize structural defense, Non-Ferrous Metals lean toward Conductivity and lighter alloys — which makes Aluminum the go-to base input for any schematic that wants metal but doesn’t want weight.

Aluminum carries OQ, CR, CD (Conductivity), DR, HR, SR, and MA. The class is well-distributed across the structural and conductivity stats, making it a versatile filler for non-ferrous slots.

Where to find it

Aluminum spawns are widespread — Corellia, Naboo, Tatooine, Lok, Dantooine, Talus, Rori, and Yavin IV all see regular spawns. The class is rarely as competitive as Copper for high-Conductivity chases, but it’s a reliable everyday input.

Crafter notes

Droid engineers, shipwrights, and architects all keep Aluminum on their buying lists — it’s the workhorse non-ferrous filler when a recipe just needs metal mass and Conductivity isn’t the dominant weight.
