Lok is a barren wasteland in the Karthakk System, controlled end-to-end by the Feeorin pirate Nym. It is one of the more distinctive planets in SWG: not Imperial, not Rebel, and openly criminal in tone, with a single starport gated by a single warlord.

In the galaxy

Nym is not overtly anti-Imperial but works closely with the Alliance on occasion — Lady Viopa, a Rebel pilot trainer, even uses his palace as a training ground. The result is a planet that reads as criminal-controlled but plays as neutral-friendly to most adventurers. The single-starport policy at Nym’s Stronghold means everyone arrives through the same chokepoint.

Key locations

Lok has only one true city (Nym’s Stronghold) plus the substantial Lok Imperial Outpost. Beyond those, the planet is defined by points of interest: Mount Chaolt the active volcano, Kimogila Town, the Great Maze of Lok, the Canyon Corsair Stronghold, the Droid Engineer’s Cave, the Great Kimogila Skeleton, and the Downed Blood Razor’s Transport. The surface is mostly flat, lifeless wasteland crossed with sulfur rivers — visually similar to Tatooine but dirtier, more dangerous, and more remote.

Notable for

Players come to Lok for Nym’s Theme Park, the Lok Marathon Race (the longest race on any planet), and high-level Kimogila hunts. The Kimogila is competitive with Tatooine’s Krayt Dragon in size and challenge, making Lok a credible late-game hunting destination. Tatooine-style player housing is permitted, but the wasteland environment and pirate threat level position Lok as a stepping stone between starter planets and the truly dangerous worlds of Dathomir and Endor.
