Tatooine
Tatooine is the canonical Star Wars desert world and the default home of every Star Wars Galaxies character. After the New Game Enhancements, new players exit the Tansarii Point Station tutorial and are dropped in Mos Eisley by Han Solo himself, where the Legacy Quest line begins. That funnel keeps Tatooine the most populated planet on every Restoration server.
In the galaxy
Tatooine is a Hutt-aligned border world, but in the Galactic Civil War both factions actively contest the cities. Bestine sits as the Imperial stronghold and Anchorhead as the Alliance counterpart, with smaller towns like Mos Entha, Mos Taike, and Wayfar flying neutral or faction-mixed flags. Twin suns drive the temperature swings and the random dust storms that briefly cut visibility planet-wide.
Key locations
Tatooine has seven NPC cities — more than any other planet — and a dense set of points of interest tied to film canon. Jabba’s Palace hosts the iconic Hutt themepark. The Great Pit of Carkoon, Fort Tusken, Kenobi Homestead, Lars Homestead, and Beggar’s Canyon are all reachable by speeder. The Krayt Graveyard in the eastern Dune Sea is the planet’s premier high-level hunting ground; Krayt Dragon pearls and tissues remain in demand for lightsaber and weapon crafting throughout the player’s progression.
Notable for
Tatooine is where most progression begins and where most economies center. Squill hunts in the Jundland Wastes are the standard low-level group grind. Mid-game players run the Jabba themepark and Tatooine Legacy chain. End-game players return for Krayt Dragons, the Tusken Army heroic encounter staged out of Mos Espa, and the Bestine GCW Invasion event. For Restoration in particular, Tatooine remains the center of gravity for the auction economy and faction recruiting.
