Armophous Gemstone

Armophous Gemstone is the second of two named Gemstone sub-classes in SWG. The class is paired against Crystalline Gemstone in the Inorganic Ore tree, and one of the two is usually active at any given time on a given planet. The class spelling — Armophous, not Amorphous — is the long-standing in-game and community spelling; documentation preserves it.

Stat profile

Armophous Gemstone carries OQ, CR, CD, DR, HR, SR, and MA — the same stat set as Crystalline Gemstone. Stat distributions tend to favor Decay Resistance and Heat Resistance slightly more than the Crystalline variant on a typical spawn.

Where to find it

Like Crystalline Gemstone, Armophous Gemstone is biome-restricted to Corellia, Dantooine, Dathomir, Lok, Talus, Rori, and Yavin IV. Spawns rotate slowly compared to common metals.

Crafter notes

Crafters chasing the gemstone tree alternate between Crystalline and Armophous depending on which is in spawn on their preferred planet. The two are largely interchangeable for decorative schematics; specialty recipes weight specific stats and pick the class whose current spawn happens to be higher on the relevant weight.
