Smuggler — placeholder image

Smuggler is the Han Solo profession — a pistol-and-melee scoundrel who fights dirty, deals in stolen goods, and runs contraband across the galaxy. Smugglers can fight unarmed about as well as with a blaster, which makes a cantina disagreement a viable career opportunity.

Role

Smuggler base stats lean heavily on luck (+120) and agility (+100), giving the class strong dodge and crit profiles. The toolkit combines fast-firing pistol specials with melee dirty tricks: tripwires, caltrops, tendon-slicing strikes, and bleed effects. Self-heals (Self Preservation, Survival Instinct, Vitality) keep the Smuggler alive between hits without needing a medic. Fence Items — a signature ability — lets a Smuggler sell goods anywhere in the galaxy.

Skill tree highlights

  • Fast Draw / Quick Draw / Hip Shot — escalating quick-attack chain
  • Dirty Tricks and Sudden Strike — high-damage close-range bursts
  • Tendonslicer — direct damage that slows for escape
  • Caltrops / Tripwire — placed traps that slow pursuers
  • Bleed and Artery Strike — damage-over-time bleeds
  • Call a Favor — summons an NPC ally in combat

The Underworld Faction grind (Chapter 3) layers a parallel progression: deliver contraband across planets to earn UWFP and unlock Bootlegger, Pirate, and Master Underworld Smuggler ranks. Failed runs cost faction and front money, and Tier 4-5 PvP missions place the Smuggler on Bounty Hunter terminals.
