Medal of Bothawui

The Medal of Bothawui is the Rebel-path terminal reward for the Legacy Quest — SWG’s flagship NGE narrative arc. Players who complete the Legacy through its Naboo ending while sympathizing with the Rebellion deliver the four recovered droid modules to their Rebel contact and receive the Medal of Bothawui as the closing reward.

How to acquire

Run the Legacy Quest from its Mos Eisley opener on Tatooine through to its Naboo conclusion, choosing Rebel sympathies in the dialogue branches. The chain pairs naturally with the New Player Tutorial and ultimately ties out at a Rebel contact who awards the medal in exchange for the four droid modules. The Imperial mirror — the Medal of the Emperor’s Fist — is awarded on the same delivery beat for the Imperial sympathy path.

Why it matters

The medal is identical in stats to the Imperial mirror — players note explicitly that the two medals share stats and differ only in name and faction symbolism. Its value is faction identity: it marks the wearer as a confirmed Legacy Quest completer who picked the Rebel side, and serves as a wearable trophy for Rebel-aligned roleplay. It also pairs with the Corellia extension’s Medal for Distinguished Service for players who run the extended arc through Lt. Jaspers.

Lore note

Bothawui — the homeworld of the Bothan species — is canon-significant to the Rebellion: the Bothans are the spies who recovered the second Death Star plans referenced in Return of the Jedi, and the planet stands as one of the more prominent Rebel-aligned worlds in the Galactic Civil War lore. Awarding Rebel Legacy completers a Bothawui medal frames the player’s contribution as intelligence-and-strike support rather than line-infantry service.
