Medal for Distinguished Service

rare
Medal for Distinguished Service — placeholder image

The Medal for Distinguished Service is the extension reward for the Legacy Quest — awarded by the Corellia leg of the arc rather than the original Naboo ending. Players who complete the Legacy proper and then push through into the Corellia extension under Lt. Jaspers receive the medal as the close of that extended chain.

How to acquire

Complete the Legacy Quest through its Naboo ending — earning either the Medal of Bothawui or the Medal of the Emperor’s Fist depending on faction sympathy. Continue into the Corellia extension and follow Lt. Jaspers’s contact chain; the Medal for Distinguished Service drops as the extension reward. A separate Captain Panaka follow-up on Naboo further extends the arc but does not add another medal.

Why it matters

Unlike the two terminal Naboo-ending medals, the Medal for Distinguished Service is awarded on both sides of the GCW — Rebel and Imperial players who push through the Corellia extension both receive it. That makes it a “completionist” trophy: it marks the wearer as someone who ran the full extended Legacy arc rather than stopping at the Naboo ending. Players who collect all three Legacy medals — Bothawui or Emperor’s Fist for the Naboo close, plus Distinguished Service for the Corellia extension — pair them as a Legacy-completion display set.

Lore note

“Distinguished Service” is deliberately faction-neutral phrasing — the Corellia extension reframes the Legacy arc as a story about the player’s service to the galaxy rather than to a single side of the GCW. The medal also nods to Corellia’s historic neutrality in Star Wars lore: the planet has long been depicted as a major shipbuilding world that does business with both the Rebellion and the Empire, making it a fitting home for a non-aligned service medal.
