Scout is the basic profession for wilderness specialists. Scouting skills make traversing terrain faster, allow players to set traps in combat, harvest creature resources cleanly, and build campsites where the group can heal mid-expedition.

Role

The Scout tree teaches the foundational outdoor toolkit and is the on-ramp for three elite professions plus several hybrids. Ranger develops the survival and exploration side further; Bio-Engineer focuses on harvested resources for crafting genetic enhancements and creature pets; Creature Handler trains and commands tamed beasts in combat.

Skill tree highlights

  • Exploration branch — Terrain Negotiation and Burst Run for movement
  • Trapping branch — combat traps from makeshift through elite martial design
  • Hunting branch — improved creature harvesting yields and quality
  • Survival branch — camp crafting and Mask Scent for avoiding aggressive wildlife

Mastering Scout requires 77 skill points, around 171,500 Scouting XP from harvesting creatures and using camps, and around 91,000 Trapping XP from successful trap deployments in combat.

Best trained at

Scout trainers are common in cities adjacent to wildlife zones. Tatooine players commonly train in Mos Eisley, Bestine, or Anchorhead; Corellia in Coronet or Tyrena; Naboo in Theed. Outpost-style starport hubs near hunting grounds typically host trainers as well.
