Profession
Architect
CraftingArchitect is the Elite Artisan profession that builds the physical world other players inhabit. Houses, factories, harvesters, player-city civic buildings, furniture — almost every placed object in SWG passes through an Architect’s crafting station first. Nearly every other crafter depends on Architects for mining installations and factories; nearly every player who wants more than a small house depends on them too.
Role
The profession is heavily skill-mod driven through Structure Assembly and Structure Experimentation — the two mods that determine how good a placed structure ends up. Unlike most crafters, Architects produce non-decaying goods (only lights wear out), which makes the long-term market dependent on new players and respec churn rather than repeat purchases from existing customers.
Skill tree highlights
The tree is organized into four branches:
- Furniture I-IV — chairs, tables, lamps, plants, decorations
- Construction I-IV — components and crafting stations
- Installations I-IV — harvesters (mineral, chemical, gas, flora, water, solar, radioactive), factories, garages
- Buildings I-IV — small/medium/large houses, guild halls, civic buildings (cantinas, banks, theaters, cloning facilities, shuttleports)
Mastery requires 76 skill points (29 from Artisan prereqs), about 1.4 million structure crafting XP, and 34,500 general crafting XP.
