Two-Handed Fifth Generation Lightsaber

The Two-Handed Fifth Generation Lightsaber is the headline rotating drop from the Exar Kun heroic on Yavin IV and one of the most sought-after Jedi weapons in the late game. Like every saber in SWG, it is restricted to Jedi — both crafting and wielding require the Jedi profession — and stacks with Color Crystal, Power Crystals, and Krayt Dragon Pearls under the standard saber tuning rules described on the Lightsaber record.

How to acquire

The saber drops from the Exar Kun heroic’s rotating loot table. Exar Kun is the longest of the heroics — a clean clear runs 90–120 minutes — and is generally considered the highest-DPS-check instance in SWG, with a one-hour lockout from completion. Groups farm it on a weekly rotation for the Exar Kun Token of Heroism and pick up the two-handed saber as a rare cap drop when the rotation cooperates.

Why it matters

The two-handed configuration sits between a one-handed saber and a Polearm-style polesaber on the Jedi weapon spectrum: slower than a one-handed saber but with higher per-swing damage, suited to a Jedi who wants saber identity with melee burst. The “Fifth Generation” name marks it as the latest of the looted-saber generations introduced through heroic content; earlier generations dropped in pre-Chapter-7 content and are widely considered powercrept by the time a player can clear Exar Kun.

Tuning notes

Like all sabers, this weapon requires a Color Crystal to activate, and the wielder’s tuning determines blade color, base damage band, and the slot count for Power Crystals and Krayt Dragon Pearls.
