Geothermal Energy — placeholder image

Geothermal Energy is the volcanic-and-tectonic companion to Solar Energy in SWG’s Energy tree. Where Solar dominates on sunny worlds, Geothermal dominates on forested or volcanic worlds where solar collector yields are poor.

Stat profile

Geothermal Energy carries a minimal stat set: OQ and PE. PE distributions on Geothermal are often comparable to Solar’s, making it a viable substitute on the right planet.

Where to find it

Geothermal concentrates on volcanically and tectonically active worlds — Dantooine, Lok, Dathomir, Endor, and Yavin IV are the canonical Geothermal worlds. Sunny inner-rim worlds default to Solar.

Crafter notes

Players running harvester farms on Endor and Dathomir lean on Geothermal for their housing power and crafting inputs. The class is otherwise interchangeable with Solar for most schematic slots.

Typical uses

  • Power generator input for player-housing electricity on overcast worlds
  • Weaponsmith energy-weapon power-cell subassemblies
  • Droid engineer power-cell components
  • Specialty schematics that weight Potential Energy
