Stormtrooper Commander

The Stormtrooper Commander is an elite Imperial NPC officer that leads Stormtrooper patrols across the major Imperial-controlled planets. Recognizable by his pauldron and command insignia, he sits above the standard line trooper in the encounter hierarchy and is one of the canonical mid-game faction PvE targets.

Role in the galaxy

Stormtrooper Commanders anchor Imperial patrols at fortified encampments, GCW objective sites, and the perimeters of Imperial bases. They serve as a meaningful resistance step for Rebel-aligned players running faction missions and as a faction-aligned target for mid-level Imperial recruits practicing GCW combat. They roam across multiple planets — Corellia, Naboo, and Tatooine all host encampments where Commanders appear.

Where to find them

Imperial encampments scattered across Corellia, Naboo, and Tatooine host Stormtrooper Commander spawns alongside their patrolling line troopers. They are a primary source of the Imperial Blaster Rifle — the standard-issue heavy weapon used by Imperial forces — and they also drop Imperial Medallions and other Imperial-themed cosmetic loot.
