Jedi Master Cloak

The Jedi Master Cloak is one of the two marquee rewards of the Champion of Mustafar quest arc — the flagship Trials of Obi-Wan content. The cloak is a hood-up, robed wearable in the visual style of Episode III’s Jedi Council members, and is one of the most recognizable identity pieces a Jedi can equip in the late game.

How to acquire

The cloak drops from the final mission of the Champion of Mustafar arc — the same encounter that drops the YT-2400 starship deed. The final fight is repeatable, so an entire group can eventually each loot a cloak; in practice guilds run the arc on a rotation so each member walks away with both the ship and the cloak.

Why it matters

The cloak is a flair piece rather than a stat piece — its value is identity. SWG’s Jedi visual identity is built on robes and lightsabers; the Jedi Master Cloak is the canonical end-state robe and is the single most legible “I cleared Trials of Obi-Wan” trophy a Jedi can wear in public. Players who run Champion of Mustafar repeatedly for the YT-2400 often end up with multiple cloaks; they are commonly stored as bank décor or gifted to lower-tier Jedi alts.

Lore note

The cloak nods to the Episode III Jedi Council aesthetic — Mustafar is the canonical setting of Anakin Skywalker’s fall, and the Champion of Mustafar arc explicitly frames the player as a Jedi answering Obi-Wan’s call decades later. The visual design ties the reward to that thematic moment: the player has, in the fiction of the arc, become the Jedi Master a young Anakin never managed to be.
