R.I.S. Armor Schematic

The R.I.S. Armor Schematic — Reinforced Insulated Sheath — is the marquee Armorsmith end-game recipe. It is unlocked through the master armorsmith questline given by the hermit Mol Ni’mai, located at /wp -6805 6022 in the mountains near the Abandoned Rebel Base on Dantooine. Once complete, the schematic produces a full nine-piece set of R.I.S. Armor — one of the two or three armor lines that legitimately deserve the “legendary” quality tier.

How to learn it

Quest reward from the Mol Ni’mai questline. The quest itself gates the schematic; the crafted output then gates further on looted R.I.S. Armor Segment components — one per armor piece (boots, chestplate, gloves, helmet, matched left/right biceps and bracers, leggings).

Resource quality recommendations

R.I.S. is famously sensitive to resource quality. Aluminum Steel drives the chromium-aluminum frame — Chromium Aluminum is the canonical preferred variant. Crystalline Gemstone anchors the insulated-sheath lining and benefits from high overall quality. Vegetable Fibers feed the Talusian Fiberplast layer.

Crafting strategy

The looted segment requirement means a Master Armorsmith stockpiles R.I.S. Armor Segments over many runs before committing a craft. Experimentation is brutal — high-roll caps on every stat are the only reason to chase this recipe. Difficulty of the quest plus the rare looted segments together make R.I.S. one of the most prestige-coded armor sets in the game. Approximate resource amounts.
