Watto

Watto is a male Toydarian junk dealer who runs a parts shop on the edge of Mos Espa on Tatooine. The same Watto who once owned Anakin and Shmi Skywalker as slaves now sits in his hovering, wing-buzzing form behind the counter, ready to send adventurers off on errands in exchange for credits and salvage.

Role in the galaxy

Watto’s primary contribution to player progression is the Tatooine leg of the Legacy Quest, which is the connective tissue between Tansarii Point Station and the rest of the Tatooine starting experience. He also runs the seasonal Life Day quest that awards the single-seat STAP-1 speeder, and he sells the schematics that unlock the Piracy feature, a notable gating point for would-be Smuggler players.

Where to find them

Watto is parked at /way tatooine -2893 2428 in Mos Espa, near the city’s main bazaar and the slave quarters made famous by The Phantom Menace. Mos Espa is also the staging point for the Tusken Army heroic, so most players cross paths with Watto multiple times across a character’s career.
