Holocron

Holocrons in Star Wars Galaxies exist in several varieties, but the two most important in the current NGE-era game are Collection Holocrons and the Mustafar buff holocron.

Collection holocrons

Collection holocrons are looted from Force-Wielder NPCs on Dantooine and Nightsisters on Dathomir. They are very rare; the most common are the 3/5 pieces and the rarest is the Strange Sith Holocron 4/5 (Waist Pack). Completing the collection unlocks the Meditate ability and the Belt of Master Bodo Baas — a wearable that in turn enables the Master Jedi Cloaks collection rewarding the Cloak of Hate and the Shatterpoint Cloak.

Buff holocrons

A Mustafar quest rewards a Sith Holocron usable once per hour for a 150-point increase to Constitution and Stamina.

Pre-NGE legacy

Before the NGE, Holocrons were the hint system for unlocking the Jedi slot — accessing one would tell the player which class to master next. That mechanic was retired with the NGE, but the items themselves survive as collection trophies and lore artifacts.
