Composite Armor is a craftable assault armor set produced by Munitions Traders. As assault armor it favors kinetic protection over energy and grants bonus resistance to acid and fire damage- over-time effects.

How to acquire

Crafted from Solid Petrochem Fuel, Wooly Hide, Reinforced Fiber Panels, Synthetic Cloth, and Assault Armor Cores. A full set covers boots, chestplate, gloves, helmet, leggings, and matched left/right biceps and bracers — nine pieces total. The chestplate and helmet require three- and two-identical Assault Armor Cores respectively, which puts more crafting load on those slots than the limb pieces.

Why it matters

Composite is one of the canonical “everyone owns a set” armor lines. Because it is widely craftable rather than dungeon-gated, it serves as the default kinetic-leaning armor for melee-heavy content and a staple bazaar listing on most servers.

Composite’s profile is balanced-but-slightly-energy-favored — a solid default against blaster damage from rifles and pistols. Where it falls short is the elemental band (heat/cold/acid/electric), so it pairs poorly against creature damage on planets like Dathomir or in Geonosian content where elemental hits dominate. Values are the canonical crafted-output midpoint per SWG Fandom + SWGEmu wiki; individual armorsmith experimentation can push these higher (cap at 80–90% in NGE math).
