Tusken Scholar

Tusken Scholar is the pre-quest chain that keys a CL90 character into the Tusken King heroic on Tatooine. The frame is academic rather than combat: a scholar of Tusken culture in Aurilia is studying the recent Tusken occupation of Mos Espa and needs research help. Completing the research arc earns the player a letter of introduction to Kav Goldor — the Mos Espa contact who launches the heroic instance.

How to start

The chain opens in Aurilia on Yavin IV, the same hub that hosts the Chapter 7 heroic vendors and pre-quest givers. A Tusken Scholar in Aurilia is the first contact; he frames the chain as field research and hands the player a stack of recovered Tusken scripts to start with.

Quest steps

The chain leans on dialogue, exploration, and survey-style objectives rather than mob clears:

• Translate Tusken scripts at the scholar’s office in Aurilia. The translation step is a dialogue check; correct readings unlock the next leg.
• Travel to Tatooine and survey Tusken artifacts at multiple POIs in the Dune Sea and Jundland Wastes. The Sand People themselves contest these sites, so a CL85+ character is the floor.
• Return survey notes to the scholar in Aurilia. The scholar confirms the player understands the Tusken occupation pattern well enough to operate inside Mos Espa.
• Carry the scholar’s letter of introduction to Kav Goldor in Mos Espa. Kav Goldor reads the letter and keys the player for the instance.

How it unlocks the heroic

The chain’s terminal step puts Kav Goldor in Mos Espa on the player’s quest log as the launch contact for the Tusken King heroic. A CL90 character with that step complete can speak to Kav Goldor outside the Mos Espa university and load into the instance directly. Like the other Chapter 7 pre-quests, the key is per-character: each member of an eight-player group must complete Tusken Scholar separately before the group can clear together.

Rewards

The chain’s principal reward is the heroic key itself: access to the Tusken King instance, where the Tusken King Token of Heroism rotates through the loot table along with the Tusken Rifle Schematic and Sand People themed décor. The pre-quest itself awards XP and dialogue tie-ins to the broader Tusken-occupation lore of Mos Espa, but not standalone gear.
