Stormtrooper Armor is a battle-class faction armor set restricted to active-duty Imperial players — Combatant or Special Forces. If the wearer is on leave they can keep the armor equipped, but removing it puts it out of reach until duty status is restored.

How to acquire

The schematics are purchased directly from an Imperial recruiter by a Munitions-specialized Trader. The recruiter uploads each schematic to the trader’s datapad with ten uses, so the supply is finite per purchase. Standard resource inputs include Battle Armor Cores, Polymer, Steel, Fiberplast Panels, and Reinforced Fiber Panels — the chestplate and helmet require three-identical and two-identical Battle Armor Cores respectively.

Why it matters

Stormtrooper Armor is the visual identity of the Galactic Empire in SWG. The duty-status restriction reinforces faction commitment: it is not enough to be Imperial-aligned — the player must remain on active combatant or special-forces duty to wear the kit at all.

Stormtrooper’s profile is canon-flavored — slightly energy-favored (blaster-deflecting plates) at the cost of marginally weaker kinetic. Functionally it sits one tier below Composite Armor in primary resists but offers faction-cosmetic identity that composite can’t. The duty-status gate means rotating out of faction-active mode locks the wearer out of the kit. Values are the canonical NGE crafted output per SWG Fandom + SWGEmu wiki.
