Medical Droid

The Medical Droid is a combat-support droid produced by the Droid Engineer profession (or, in the late-NGE consolidated taxonomy, by Trader (Engineering)). It assists Medics and Combat Medics with healing, buff delivery, and stim application in PvE content, and is one of the bazaar’s most reliable evergreen listings — every healer specced for solo play runs at least one.

Acquisition

Crafted from the Medical Droid Schematic at a Droid, Weapon, and General Item Crafting Tool. The schematic is trained automatically as part of the Droid Engineer skill tree. The droid sits in the mid-tier branch — a recurring milestone every Master Droid Engineer learns on the way to the Elite combat and detonation droids further up the tree. The Medical Droid also comes in three quality tiers — standard, advanced, and elite — with each tier requiring progressively more demanding resource specs.

Role in the galaxy

Solo medics and combat medics deploy Medical Droids as portable healers — the droid follows the player and triggers heal-over-time programs on the master and nearby allies. In group play the droid supplements a primary healer rather than replacing one. The advanced and elite variants ship with module slots for additional medical packs and repair kits, letting Droid Engineers stack effectiveness on top of the base chassis.
