A280 Blaster Rifle

The A280 Blaster Rifle is a deconstructable energy rifle that drops in the Battle of Echo Base instance. Faction-locked to the Rebel Alliance, it cannot be equipped by Imperial or neutral players. In SWG lore the A280 is the same longblaster Rebel troopers wield in the Battle of Hoth, marketed alongside the older DLT-20A.

How to acquire

The rifle can drop directly inside the Battle of Echo Base instance. A second path is the Echo Base Sharpshooter (Imperial) collection — Imperial Officers killed during that collection can eventually yield the rifle as a reward.

Why it matters

For Rebel rifle-users this is one of the genre-defining looted weapons of the Hoth content: a sturdy, energy-based rifle that visually and mechanically anchors the Rebel sharpshooter fantasy. Galven circuits clustered near the focusing crystal give the design more power than the Imperial E-11 at the cost of a heavier, bulged profile.
